Sony has confirmed that its next-gen console won’t launch until after the end of the current fiscal year.
In the company’s end of year financial report, it was stated that Sony will not be launching the new console any time before March 31, 2020.
Given that the project seems to be in its infancy at present, this may not come as a massive surprise. However, Sony did confirm previously that dev kits have been sent out to several developers so that they could experiment with the new hardware.
The company has already confirmed that it will be skipping E3 2019, but promised to reveal details on the console in a separate event when the time comes.
