Sony’s second State of Play livestream is due to air this Thursday 9th May, and will include a more in-depth look at the MediEvil remake for PS4.
The first State of Play presentation – Sony’s own version of Nintendo Direct – aired in March and was generally well-received. It largely showcased upcoming PlayStation VR titles including Marvel’s Iron Man VR, No Man’s Sky: Beyond, Blood & Truth, Observation, and Five Nights At Freddy’s VR: Help Wanted. It also gave gamers another look at Days Gone and Mortal Combat 11, both of which are now out.
If you missed it, you can watch the full March 25th presentation here.
The next State of Play livestream will be roughly half the length of the first, clocking in at about 10 minutes, and will air at 11pm BST on Thursday 9th May. Announced in a PlayStation Blog post by SIEA’s Director of Social Media Sid Shuman, the presentation “will be showing off an extended look at the upcoming MediEvil remake, as well as a first look at a new title.”
You can watch the announcement trailer for the MediEvil remake below. As a childhood fan of the original I can tell you I am very much looking forward to it.
Shuman also promised “other updates and announcements for upcoming PS4 games”, but pointedly told fans “Don’t expect any updates relating to our next-generation plans this time. Sorry!”
You can watch this Thursday’s State of Play livestream via Twitch, Youtube, Twitter, and Facebook.
