Sega have released the third batch of games confirmed for the upcoming Mega Drive Mini.
Marketed as the Sega Genesis Mini in the US, the Mega Drive Mini is a miniature edition of the original Sega Mega Drive. The Mini is roughly 55 per cent the size of the original and will ship with a catalogue of 40 classic games pre-downloaded onto it. The console will also include two full-size controllers, an HDMI cable, and a power cable in the box.
The Japanese edition of the Mega Drive Mini ships with the Mega Drive’s six-button controller, whereas the western releases will only supply the three-button configuration. However, UK customers can purchase the six-button Retro-Bit controller for £14.99 as an optional extra.
The 10 games newly announced for the Mega Drive Mini are:
- Mega Man: The Wily Wars
- Street Fighter 2: Special Champion Edition
- Golden Axe
- Ghouls ‘n Ghosts
- Sonic the Hedgehog Spinball
- Phantasy Star 4: The End of the Millennium
- Beyond Oasis
- Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle
- Vectorman
- Wonder Boy in Monster World
These will join the list of games already confirmed for the Mega Drive Mini, which already contains several legendary titles:

The Sega Mega Drive Mini will be launching worldwide on September 19th and will retail at £69.99 in the UK.
